Fine, but not great.
My first thoughts when I was looking at this product were, “This is going to be great b/c I won’t have to plug in my laptop for music any more,” and, “I’ll just have to snap in the USB key and music will start playing out of the box.”
Unfortunately, it was slightly more difficult than that, and “slightly more difficult” was more than I want.
The stereo is fine, but you actually have to flip a couple software settings for it to be able to be used on the fly. Moreover, you also have to put the UBS key in, and THEN launch the program. You can’t just plug the key in and expect to hear music from a program which is already running (like iTunes without reopening, or a movie which is playing on your laptop which you then want to play through the speakers but don’t want to have to restart the movie player application). I wasn’t thrilled with this.
Additionally, I didn’t find the sound quality to be particularly impressive. In fact, I was a bit disappointed overall.
Lastly, when I plug in my 80 Gb 5th gen iPod into the iPod adapter, it won’t respond to the remote control. You have to do it manually. Again, less than I’d hoped for.
In general, I think this product has a lot going for it in principal, and I’m certain for a lot of folks it would do just fine. For me, though, it was just a little lacking in the areas I expected and wanted to use it for, and as such lost my vote. I think I’ll hold out for a better player to pass along.
Pros:
- looks good. Very sleek.
- good size. Smaller footprint than most.
- is pretty cool when it synch’s with your computer. It’s greatto stream your music like this.
Cons:
- Have to plug in the UBS key, turn the player to “wireless”, and THEN launch the application to have it play correctly.
- Sound quality is mediocre. Heavy on the low end.
- Remote didn’t work with my iPod.
- Found it cumbersome to flip between the inputs.
On the whole, not terrible, not not the right player for me. Good price, though.

This box is handsome, and it does sound great considering its small size, but the wireless device prevents any other sound output. I realize that this is a Windows issue, but for me it was enough to return the box. Instead I opted for a more powerful, wired audio system. However, if you want a very small, wireless sound system this is a good pick.

It’s quite refreshing when something works as advertised after you go out on a limb and buy it untested. The speakers where actually a tiny bit smaller than I expected however the sound is larger. I bought this as a gift for my girl friend. If we’re going to dance in the kitchen together we need music. Within a couple of minutes of opening the box Kings of Leon were rocking the room. I thoroughly recommend this product.

so far i am loving this device. i wanted wireless spreakers and couldn’t resist once i saw this doubled as a ipod doc. sound quality is pretty good. it’s easy to use. definitely worth the purchase!

I can’t speak highly enough of these speakers! They arrived today and I put them to immediate use. They’re easy to set up–just plug and play. The sound quality is terrific. The speaker system is compact–as one would wish–and certainly a good fit for an office or other situation of that sort.
It is important to remind prospective purchasers that the speakers’ sound quality will be, in part, tied to the quality of the computer hardware and software being used with it. If they’re not up-to-date, you may want to bear that in mind.
All told: two thumbs up!
Now… one waits expectantly for fully wireless, high-quality sound systems for home enterainment/theater. If this Mint product is any indication, it’s not far behind….
